In conjunction with our sister company 20th Century Frames, we are making bespoke stretchers to the highest standard from high grade Russian Redwood.
These are hand made and used mainly in the conservation services by reliners and restorers.
Stretchers are also used by artists for larger paintings for extra strength, or when unusual sizes are required.
The construction of our bespoke stretchers is an open mortice and tenon joint. Single bars, cross bars and six openers are supplied as requested.>
The stretchers are all unstained. Wedges are supplied and are all made from beech.
Postage and packaging is by arrangement.
Our workshop is based in Battersea, London.
